Job Description
The SHQ (Safety, Health and Quality Control) Engineer -Site will:
• Ensure that quality records, acceptance certificates, mechanical completion
certificates and the documentation for specific systems and buildings/areas are
prepared and collated in accordance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with the planning and scheduling department to ensure milestone dates
are understood for each turnover area.
• Coordinate with the site SHQ manager for the completion of as-built turnover
documentation.
• Resolve any discrepancies relating to the completed milestones.
• Monitor the execution of organizational safety plans to include coordinating the
safety and health activities of facility employees.
• Maintain, in liaison with, and act in concert with the Division/Group Safety Officer to
assist managers and supervisors in the development of safety, and injury and loss
programs at the facility, and provide quality documentation.
• Review suppliers’ inspection and test plans against the milestone scope of work.
• Coordinate with the commissioning department to define the scope of work.
• Assist the site subcontractors to compile turnover dossiers.
• Provide progress information for incorporation into project reports.
• Consider the implications of delays in QC as-built turnover documentation and bring
them to the attention of the site SHQ manager.
• Provide progress data to the planning and scheduling department.
• Be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or
schedule form.
• Be familiar with common business computer software applications.
• Develop plans, procedures, and policies to continuously improve the program.
• Perform root cause analysis and provide guidance toward appropriate corrective
action.
• Develop, coordinate, and execute an effective safety program.
• Develop and maintain the safety and health program records-keeping and reporting
system.
• Develop plans and procedures, to continuously improve the program.
Requirements
• Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or Information Systems or
Engineering or other relevant field.
• 5+ year’s relevant Quality experience.
• Multimedia low current/Security systems background is preferred.
• TQM training/certification is preferred.
• Familiarity with project/Quality methodologies and practices.
• IT services provision to in-house or external clients.
• Previous Experience in Middle East.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken), and Arabic as well.
