> Prepares and formats
material from blueprints, designs, mockups, and photos by methods and
techniques suited to specified reproduction process or final use.
> Lays out and draft views to depict function, relationship, and assembly
sequence of parts and assemblies such as valves, mechanical products and
instruments - Guide the Technical Illustrator on drawing the illustrations•
> Observes production, developmental, experimental activities, reads
journals, reports, and other material to become familiar with product
technologies, operation and production methods.
> Reviews manufacturer’s material to integrate and delineate technology,
operating procedure, production sequence, and data relative to operation,
maintenance and service of equipment.
> Organizes material and completes writing assignment according to set
standards.
> Gathers information, both written and illustrated, into a customer ready
ATA100 formatted document.
> Gathers information, both written and illustrated, into a customer ready
ATA iSpec 2200 sgml instance.
Gathers information, both written and illustrated, into a customer ready AECMA
S1000d sgml or xml instance.
> Maintains and updates existing Technical Publication documents.
> Oversees the management of computer storage and retrieval of CMM’s, PI’s, SB’s, and SNL’s.
> Communicates with coworkers on changes or procedures which affect
workload.
Basic qualification
BE degree -Electrical and
Electronics preferred for Senior Engineer at least 4-7 years experience in
technical writing and illustrating, or equivalent combination of education and
experience.
• Knowledge of general industry and aerospace drafting standards.
• 4-7 years experience generating ATA100 and ATA iSpec 2200 documentation.
S1000D (Change 1.8 – 2.2) experience preferred.
> High aptitude.
> Excellent writing and typing skills.
> Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Preferred:
> Framemaker, SGML, XML, native markup editors, 3D CAD software and MSOffice
proficiencies.
> Knowledge of ASD Simplified Technical English.
Knowledge and understanding of sgml DTD and xml Schemas.
