Job Description-
Position: IE Specialist
Department: Industrial Engineering
Reporting to: Country IE
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Provide input for the formulation of bid proposals and costing for potential customers.
2. Knowledge of implementation projects for distribution centres and involving areas in process flow, layout and facilities design, environmental and construction specification, material handling design and selection and others to complete in a tight schedule and determined budget. Working experience of facility related activity like rolling out the Admin office & warehouse infrastructure is required.
3. Assist in the inventory move and set up stages of a project. Coordinating various departments to shift their operations and equipment with minimum interruptions within a stringent deadline
4. Develop detailed process flows and process measurements for new accounts
5. Perform work measurements and analyse methods for cost control/reduction program in consultation of Country IE
6. Perform maximization of capital/capacity and resources planning for warehouse operation
7. Design warehouse/plant/office layout through space optimisation considering ergonomics, process flow and safety
8. Perform evaluation studies for configuration flow of work processes, material-handling systems to achieve productivity
9. Facility, process, time, manning and overall systems analysis.
10. Problem solving analysis
Educational level:
1. Bachelor degree of engineering (Industrial, Mechanical or Civil)
Traits:
1. Working knowledge of process flow design and analysis.
2. Must have good analytical and communication skills.
3. Must be a team player.
4. Preferably with MOST, MTM2 skills for measurement improvement.
5. Must have a good working knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Word/Excel, MS Project and Microsoft
Access.
Years of Experience:
1. Minimum 2 years experience in industrial engineering or operations or logistics management
preferably in the 3rd party logistics, distribution or manufacturing industry.
