Software Infrastructure Support Engineer for AMD
Location:Hyderabad
Position Purpose:
The SW Infrastructure team develops and support the Build, Configuration Management, Test Management, Test Automation, Defect Tracking, Project Management and Reporting systems within the Graphics Product Group (GPG). These systems are used globally within GPG.
You will work with each of the system primes from the Canada office and be the primary emergency contact to troubleshoot and remedy system issues that are reported by the India and Shanghai lab.
You will develop applications to improve performance of these systems in India and Shanghai and you will create reporting solutions that will correlate the data that are managed by these systems to the management team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Troubleshoot and remedy system issues that are reported by the India and Shanghai lab.
2. Management of SW systems that is local to India and Shanghai.
3. Configure additional/tune existing systems and develop applications to improve performance of these systems in India and Shanghai
4. Create reporting solutions that will correlate the data that are managed by these systems to the management team.
Education Requirements:
1. Degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent.
2. MCE Certification preferable.
Skill and Experience Requirements:
· Extensive knowledge on Windows Server Administration and Debugging.
· Proficient in configuring and using all Microsoft operating systems.
· Good Knowledge of Linux (Perform tasks such as rebooting and running scripts on Linux)
· Excellent oral, written and presentation skills. (English)
· Excellent system networking knowledge
· Perl Programming
· SQL Server DBA Experience
· SQL Server Development Experience
· Experience with Reporting tools like Crystal, Cold Fusion
· (Plus) Experience with Build Farm operation
· (Plus) Experience with Perforce CM system
· (Plus) Experience with Test Automation and Test Management systems
· (Plus) Experience with Remedy
· (Plus) Experience in providing technical training on software tools and usage
