| Job Description |
This leadership position has direct responsibility for developing
strategies, plans and goals for the company's Global Supplier Quality
and Development function. This position leads the following processes
for the India Global Sourcing organization reporting to the Global
Supplier Quality Leader:
-Integrate Supplier Quality into one Global Organization across various company's sites
-Drive high performance teams globally; manage performance issues / reward good performance
-Implement appropriate Supplier Quality tools at current and potential supply base to drive flawless quality performance
-Detailed knowledge of PPAP / APQP tools and demonstrated application of these tools
-Development and implementation of appropriate quality metric for
supply base; disciplined approach to drive SQEs to measure suppliers on
this metric and provide feedback to suppliers
-Demonstrated capability to manage day to day quality issues at
company's factories and integration centers (immediate fixes to keep
factories/Integration center running, finding and implementing
permanent corrective actions with suppliers)
-Ability to work cross functionally with manufacturing and design to
implement permanent corrective actions at supplier locations
-Ability to develop cost matrix for cost of poor quality from supplier issues and support purchasing in cost recoveries
-Knowledge of supplier manufacturing processes and required
error-proofing and other quality systems needed to provide flawless
quality
-Understanding of ISO audit procedures and ability to implement procedures for compliance

-Required Bachelors in Engineering
-Required minimum 5 years of work experience with above listed skills
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree
5 years experience
Additional Qualifications:
BE / B.Tech. Degree, MBA desired
Ability to build a good and long lasting working relationship with customers, suppliers, manufacturing, and product engineers
Candidate must possess advance skills with the use of EXCEL and ACCESS, PowerPoint or similar products
Knowledge of Quality Systems such as ISO and AS9100 a definite plus
Quality systems, APQP and/or quality audit experience desired
Proven successful track record in leadership roles
Prior Sourcing and/or Purchasing experience desired

5. Technical solid negotiation skills; excellent knowledge of
operations management and supply chain processes in a large
organization; and knowledge of effective technology driven sourcing
processes.
